This page is currently in hiatus because of the Covid-19 pandemic.  When it is safe to do so, we will once again start our social activities.  Some past events are listed below in order to give our visitors an idea of what our organization does of a cultural and social nature.

Aug. 29:  Assisted at the TSCI tent at the German American Festival at Oak Shade Grove, Oregon, OH.

Sept. 25: Opening and reception for the exhibition: "GREATER TOLEDO: THE CITY IN THE WORLD"

               at the Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections, The University of Toledo.  Display of many of our artifacts including

               the 7 ft., 70 pound ceremonial sword, a gift from Toledo, Spain. Exhibition runs until May 6, 2016 and after that you can see a virt

               virtual tour on the Canaday Center website. 

Dec. 12:  Annual Holiday Dinner at Heather Downs Country Club.  Entertainment: St. John's HS Spanish Honor Society singing carols in                     Spanish.  Music by "Los Tres Amigos".

Jan.16: Toledo Symphony "A Roman Holiday" with get-together followiing at Manhattan's restaurant. (27 participants).

Feb. 19:  Spanish & South American wine tasting at "Veritas" wine bar with a tapas buffet. (35 present)

Apr. 16:  Toledo Sister Cities International annual International Festival featuring booths by all 11 sister cities, food, performances by many                  different nationalities, raffels, crafts booths.  Noon- 6:00p.m. $7.00 admission, students, seniors $5.00, children free. (over 1,500                  attended)

April 27:  7:00 p.m. 39th annual High School Honors Night.  Honoring the outstanding Spanish student from each area HS.  Parents,                          teachers, members invited. Wildwood Metropark Manor House. Speaker:  Mr. Mel Honig of the Sylvania Rotary Club International.                Reception following ceremony. (15 students were nominated).  3 AOTT Russell C.G. Brown-Ileana Murray scholarships were                        awarded to college students from the Toledo area to study in Toledo, Spain this summer at the ESTO program, Univ. Castilla La                    Mancha.

Aug. 21;  ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP PICNIC AT SWAN CREEK METRO PARK. Election of officers & board members. Time TBA
